A heart-warming event!

In the evening on the 22nd, we went to a charity event for research initiatives in the area of pediatric congenital heart defects. The daughter of one of my friends was born with a heart defect, so we made a big playdate out of the event with some other friends. There were lots of fun things for kids to do there!

First, Luken got his face painted. Todd waited in line with him for a bit, and when it was Luken's turn, he wanted to back out, but we convinced him it would be really neat! He picked out a fancy SNAKE!

Getting painted:

Some detail work:

Checking himself out in the mirror - one cool dude! :D

Luken and Daddy!

There were many bounce houses and slides. Here is is coming down a slide!

Just a cute close-up:

This is the little girl I was referring to, Vivien. Here she is on the Euro Bounce, with her Daddy in the background. This is one of my most favorite photos ever!! :D
In silhouette:

Luken was convinced by how much fun Vivien had bouncing, so he gave it a go! More waiting in line, then wanting to back out, but we convinced him, and he LOVED it!!

Wheeee!

Up in the sky!

This is so much fun!!

Yeeeeehaw!

Ms. Keeley was strapped to my back the whole time. This was just days after her Croup diagnosis, and I didn't want her to infect any other kids. She doesn't look too thrilled in this photo, but it was at the end of the day - she really liked looking around at everyone! I just wanted proof that she and I were actually there! :P

On our way home, we saw a most extraordinary sunset, and though I knew I couldn't do it justice in a moving car and through the windsheild, I took a few shots anyway...

Pizza Party!!

Catching up here... we had a really busy weekend last weekend - then this week has been kind of hectic, too, and Keeley's cough has been making her naps almost non-existent!

Anyway, here are some pics of Luken from a birthday party he went to on the 22nd. There were a lot of kids there that we don't know, so I'm just putting up the ones of him.

The kids got to make their own pizzas from scratch!

Pouring some salt into the bowl:

Playing with his little piece of dough:

Squishing it:

Rolling it:

Pounding the heck out of it!

More pounding:
Pinching it flat:
A little sauce:
And a little more sauce!

Waiting in line to wash up, and eyeballing a bigger boy. I thought he was so cute here!
Still checking that big kid out!

It was a fun party!!

Oh, CRAP!

No, really.... this one's FUNNY!!

So, Saturday morning I went to the gym for my step class. Keeley was still sleeping when I left. When I got home, she greeted me at the door, fully dressed. This is unusual - Todd never gets her dressed. He just changes her diaper and leaves her in her PJ's.

Wanna know why he got her dressed??? It's so ridiculously bad it's funny. So completely off the wall Todd didn't even get mad. It's just too funny.

You ready for this?

I mean, really really ready?

Are you annoyed yet, thinking "C'mon, I'm losing interest here..."?

OK, here's what happened. Friday night when I put Keeley to bed, I somehow managed to forget to put a diaper on her!!!! So her bed was soaked. And, yes, she had pooped! (Hence the title.)

I still cannot believe it!! I mean, who forgets to diaper their child, after almost FOUR years of diapering?

Todd was a champ. He threw her in the bath, and put all her linens and PJ's in the washer. I think he passes the Daddy Test!

By the way, Keeley is doing fine, recovering from the croup. She is still a bit wheezy, but still better. Now she just sounds like she has a cold. Or allergies. It's, like, the WORST allergy season ever here this year. We are all miserable. Ragweed is absolutely off the charts today. Ugh.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for...

...CUSTARD, naturally! LOL!

Friday evening, after our standard pizza order, Todd said, "Get your shoes on, we're going for custard!" Luken's first thought was, "Yippee!!" My first thought was, "I've gotta grab my camera for this!"

At the local custard joint, they offered us the free baby cone, so I said, "What the heck?" (After all, it would make for the CUTEST photos! :))

TOO many photos here, but I had a really hard time whittling down the 136 frames I took!!
These aren't even all the ones I thought were worth editing, so if you're hungry for more (ha ha!), click here: http://s84.photobucket.com/albums/k38/lukeeley/2007-09-September/2007-09-21-Custard_Kids/?action=view&slideshow=true

Keeley, with THE CONE!

Mmmmmm!

Digging in!

Sweet girl!

Hmmm.... what's Luken got?

Side-by-side siblings!

Here, try this! (Oops! It was a gummy bear.... not for babies!)

That's better, try some sundae!

More sweetness!

Yum!

Let's try the other end!

Intensity...

Looking up at some grown-up.

What a drip! ;)

I just LOOOOOVED this one, so I had to make it all dreamy! :)

Having fun!

A classic Keeley expression! I adore this photo of her!!!!!!

A little clean-up effort by Daddy.

Two cuties...

In conversation with the owner, either about the custard, or perhaps Luken's standard introduction... "I have a BLUE McQueen!" :D

Checking the owner out!

Custard and laughs.... what could be better???

Walking around, charming all the other patrons!

Happy boy!

This wasn't what I was trying to capture, but I'm glad I did 'cause I'm sure it's better than what I was going for!

Squished up cone in a tiny fist.... awwww!

Chocolate-faced handsome little man!
