It's an octopus invasion!!

Suddenly we're spotting octopus items everywhere, and our friends are on the lookout, as well! :D

A new Play-Doh set - it's really cute and well-designed. Luken LOVES it, of course!

Isn't it cute?

Here's Keeley, still in the drawer! ;)

I love his expression here!

Look at the sweet little baby octopus!!

The best part is it's easy to clean up, and Luken can do it all himself! :D

Just a little silliness...

This is what Keeley looks like after she's been eating chocolate covered Oreos! :D

And here are the kids after they disovered they can fit in the drawer cubes that usually house their toys!

I love the look on Keeley's face here. She looks like she's thinking, "Dude, what's up? Just chillin'..." LOL!

Something not at all relating to Luken or Keeley

A photographer friend of mine was in need of an assistant for a wedding she was photographing, so I jumped at the chance to help out and hopefully learn a thing or two. I brought my camera along, and took these photos with my little 50mm 1.8 and absolutely no flash. Just available light (and then some editing with my developing Photshop skills.) So, yes, they are very grainy, but for some of these, I think it works! Anyway, I just thought I'd share...

These weren't sized for the blog, so if they display kind of funky, just click the picture for a larger version.

(This one is my personal fave...)

Constructive criticism always welcome! :D

Tornadic Activity

Our friend Thomas recently turned 4, and he and his family invited us and some other friends to see a local hockey team, the Tornado, play. The party was lucky enough to be offered a huge conference room suite that night, as they had had a cancellation. It was wonderful - the doors closed and the kids had the run of the place. We were also at center court!

Here is Ms. Keeley checking out the action!

The kids were given blow-up "thunder sticks," which they used to beat each other into oblivion!

Oh, yeah, there was some hockey, too!

But also a lot of horsing around!

And, of course, some fighting!

'Cause it's hockey, and that's de rigeur, right? :D

Oh, look - instant replay!

After the 2nd period, the kids got to go down on the ice to retrieve hockey pucks that people in the crowd has purchased for charity. Apparently they throw them down onto the ice, and kids get to go pick them up.

There were a lot of instructions beforehand - it was getting kind of late, so the kids were glazing over...

And they're off!

I learned a little Photoshop trick - isn't this cute?
By the way, this is the birthday boy! :)

All the partygoers!

We didn't stay for the whole game... it was late! We didn't get home 'til almost 10 as it was! I read later that our team lost, but won the next night (or had won the night before... I can't be held responsible for those kind of details, haha!)
Great party, though! We really enjoyed it!
