Traditional Torture Time! (aka Santa is here!)

First, just proof that I *tried* to put this cute bow on Keeley's head!

Luken was SO great with Santa this year! When was asked what he wants for Christmas, he immediately replied, "An octopus!" (Yes, he does want one - not a real one, though! And don't get any ideas, anyone - we've got it covered! ;) )

Then, let the torture begin! Keeley was NOT so great with Santa. The nanosecond I put her on his lap, she started screaming, so we took a few pictures as quickly as posssible, and then rescued the poor girl!

Luken's hair is all funked out because a) he fell asleep in the car on the way to the mall, and mussed his freshly perfect 'do up and b) Santa has a fan blowing on him to keep him moderately cool, and it blew some hair up and to the side. Oh, well... Keeley's is all funked out because that bow disappeared almost immediately upon sitting on Santa's lap. She was MAAAAAD!

The official picture!

Safely in Daddy's arms!

Discovering somethingn wondrous, and being totally beautiful while at it! :D

And, just for fun - last year's picture! Ha - Luken is wearing the same shirt, and Keeley is again in animal print and black! Hmm... I guess I need to be more creative next year! :P

Just some all around cuteness!

Here are some snapshots of the kids entertaining themselves this evening!

We start with some Mommy and Daddy shoe-wearing. Luken was helping Keeley put my shoes on! :)

Serious business, isn't it! :D

Then, for a stroll down the hallway!

Oops! They fell off again!

Cutie pie!

Then, on to one of Keeley's favorite sports - trying to mess with Mommy's laptop!

Luken steps in to try and help out!

Next, a few silly faces!

Ah, now to Keeley's most favorite event - standing up on the couch. I have totally given up on making her sit - now I just hope she at least leans up against the back. *sigh*

A moment of seriousness. Actually, it's just what happens when I disappear behind the camera.

And, a bit of a new favorite activity - playing "Where's Elmo?" It's kinda like "Waldo" but with Sesame Street. She can now find Elmo on every page!

On the last page, we look for the apple!

Hope you enjoyed some silliness with us! :D

Fun with trucks!

On Sunday, we "trucked" (ha ha!) on down to a really cool fundraising event where there were 22 different trucks parked in a parking lot, and everyone got to climb in them and just generall have a blast! Here are probably waaaaaay too many pictures, LOL! (I had some serious camera and lens envy there - there were lots of photo moms and dads just eating up all of the photo ops!)

Fire truck!

We really wanted him to get in the boots, but he wasn't up for it.

Again, in B&W, just because I can! :D

He wasn't all that thrilled with the helmet, either...

Posing with Daddy in front of a "Scoop!"

Getting to honk the horn in a Mack! (I don't know if it was really a Mack - that's just what we call a really big truck, based on Cars, he he!)

Checking out the sleeping cabin!

Getting ready to hunt down some bad guys!

Driving a "Scoop!"

And getting scooped up! :D

Looking at the Garbage Truck with Daddy.

Yes, Keeley was there, too! To keep her happy and entertained, I had a tickle session with her, and here are some giggling pics! :D

Covering her ears. Between all the horns and sirens, she was not too happy. :(

More honking. (Sorry, Keeley! ;))

Look at THAT, Daddy!!

Another "Scoop!"

Sitting in the front seat of the ambulance.

In the Stars' trailer.

More ear-covering!

One truck was handing out Icee treats. We purposely hit that truck last, and then chose colors corresponding to their shirts! Then we found a QUIET place to sit and enjoy...

I loves me some "Keeley face!"

Hi, Daddy!

Hey, that's MINE!!

Sparky stopped by to say hello! Luken was just OK with it - Keeley wanted NOTHING to do with him - not even a high-five!

Luken's tongue turned blue - matches his eyes! Ha!

Keeley was also a little big blue...

Once she had a little freedom, she needed to do a bit of exploring, even if it only meant going over to the OTHER bench!

Then we packed it in and headed to Celebrity for lunch, which was "lovely" in Luken's own words. Awwww!! We had to take some cookies to go, of course, after lunch.

Mmmmmmm!

It was such a fun day! We will definitely have to hit this event again next year! :D
