Major Cuteness Alert!! Pretend play and some lullaby-singing!

This morning Keeley decided to try out some Mommying on her baby doll. Baby had to go into "time out," no doubt for hitting or something like that. ;)

Luken got into the act, first using his Lovey, and they acted out Lovey and Baby hitting each other, and then going into time out.

Here Keeley is saying, "Time out for FIVE minutes!" (Notice her hand showing 5.)

Then Luken adopted one of the other babies, and apparently both babies became scared of monsters, so they comforted their babies by sitting on the couch with them. Luken requested a TV show "for the babies. They want to watch something." I declined.

Next the babies were tired, and the kids tried to put them to sleep on the stairs, but I knew we could do better than that, so I found a Gymboree clothing box and some old burp cloths to make beds for the babies!

Aw, the babies are soooo tired!

Here is where the cuteness goes OVER THE TOP!
The kids decided to sing a lullaby to their babies. I sing this song every day at nap and bedtime. It is from The Backyardigans, specifically the Viking Voyage episode, where Pablo, Tyrone, and Uniqua sing a lullaby to Mermaid Tasha to put her to sleep so they can escape her and discover new land. Anyway, here they are, singing to the babies!!

Should you be interested in the original version of this song, check out this YouTube video:

A little later, Ms. Keeley got herself into a real time out. She was not pleased with my attempt to photograph this part of the day, and said, "NO PICTURES!"

And then turned away! :P

Later, it was almost nap time, and we quiet and slow down with 5 minutes on the couch right before we head upstairs. The kids were being sweet to one another, and giving each other kisses on the forheads. Here is Keeley kissing Luken!

And then his foot! LOL!

I told you it was cuteness overload!!

Nothing like the good old Backyardigans. I'm glad I'm not the only mom who sings their songs. Teehee.
