Wrapping it up...

OK, the last of the Sunriver pics! You're all probably breathing a collective sigh of relief, and hoping for something and fresh and new now! (At least that's how I imagine it, ha ha!)

So, eventually, Keeley warmed up to Grandpa Don a bit, and purposefully sat next to him!

Here starts our last morning in Sunriver. While Todd and I packed up our stuff, Grandma played a Dominoes game with Luken (and Keeley, hehe!)

Then, to burn off some energy before the long drive back to Portland, we snuck one last outing in the snow. It was **coooooooooooooold** out there - the clouds had cleared and the temperatures dropped very low. The morning before, it was 4º when we got up!! At the time of these photos, it was probably in the mid 20º's (which, I might add, have been our lows at HOME this week!) The paths had been cleared, and the snow was packed and slick enough for some fun sledding.
Keeley and Luken, in the blow-up tube sled thing that Carol really wanted us to use! It was perfect for Ms. Laid Back! :D

The Princess, and her Royal Carrier!

A cute series of Luken going down the hill and sledding underneath Todd!

Todd, having a little fun!

Keeley with Grandpa and Grandma (ignore the poor quality - it was blown out and this was the best I could do with it. :( )

Catching snowflakes?

Hmmm.... I guess they're officially friends now! :)

Time for Mom to have a go!

Wanna try, Keeley?

I liked it - Keeley seems undecided...

There goes Grandpa!

Sweet Snow Bunny!

And just generally being her gorgeous self, even with a runny nose!

Grandpa again.

Luken, helping Grandpa clear the deck (yeah, right, helping!)

Pretty icicles!

Then it was time to hop in the car and head back to Portland. The pass we avoided on the way in seemed clear, so we took a more beautiful route back. It was slow going for a bit, but gorgeous views. Lots more "Wobby" demanding from Keeley.
Since we were heading back the day before our flight, we decided to make plans with another of Todd's cousins, Eric, and his wife and kids, Nicole, Ayden, and Meghan. We got to see their beautiful home and share dinner. The kids played wonderfully together, and we adults got to catch up. It was great!
Here are the 4 kids. Notice how happy and smiley Ayden and Meghan are, and how Luken and Keeley are both screaming at the top of their lungs! :P Poor things were wrecked.

After that we had another hour or so in the car to get to Grandpa John and Grandma Flo's house - they were still in Sunriver with Don and Carol, so we got a free night at the inn.
Then we flew back home, and only had to listen to Keeley fuss and pitch fits for the last hour or so. We were so happy to touch down and get home! Everyone was thrilled to sleep in their own beds! The best part of travel is coming home!
We had an amazing trip, though - definitely worth the difficulties and headaches getting there and back!
Hope you enjoyed sharing our memories... if you're exceptionally bored, here's the link to all the pics (well, the 195/330 that I felt edit-worthy, at least.) There are many in the album that I didn't display here on the blog.
