OK, here we go.... Part I of many!

At long last, I've waded through over 330 photos from our trip to Sunriver, Oregon. We left two days after Christmas and came home on January 2.

Our trip out was 12 1/2 hours from door to door - you can imagine how fun that was with a 4 year old and a todder - ugh! Keeley threw the temper tantrum to end all temper tantrums on the plane before we even took off! We had the bulkhead row, directly behind first class, and I was on the receiving end of a few dirty looks, but it was either make her sit still and listen to a few minutes of screaming, or let her have the run of the plane, haha! Fortunately, she settled down after about 15 minutes, and was a fairly decent human being for the rest of the flight.

Luken napped for a bit in the car on the way from Portland to Sunriver, but the Little Miss did not. *sigh* She has a multi-purpose word she uses when she doesn't know the real word. It sounds like "Bobby" or "Babby" or sometimes "Wobby," and we heard it a few hundred-thousand times during the drive. I still have no idea what she wanted, besides out of that carseat!

The last 20 or so miles of the drive was the worst. It was rush hour in Bend, and it was snowing and dark. The kids were not happy and neither were we, but we finally made it! Phew!

The house was beautiful! (Don and Carol had just finished totally remodeling this house to flip it, and it is now on the market, yay!)

Everyone slept pretty well that night, if I remember correctly. In the morning, we woke up to light snow, and we were able to look out at the beauty from a bay window downstairs.

Here are the kiddos checking things out:

Of course, coming from the Central time zone to the Pacific, we were up before everyone else, but soon the house came alive, and Great-Grandpa came out to play with Luken! :)

Coming next..... some fun in the snow!
