Some General Cuteness

The other day, I ushered the kids into the yard and pleaded with them to let me take a few posed-ish shots while I experimented with using my flash/softbox combo outdoors. Here's what we came up with, while the mosquitos hovered about and tried to devour us alive!!!

My girl is goofy and silly!

Some Recent Artwork

The kids have been turning out some really neat art lately!

Here is Luken's first family portrait! <3

Keeley decided to do one, too! :)

When Grandpa and Gram were here, they bought an easel for the kids at IKEA, and it has been a hit! Here are a couple of drawings done with it!

I believe this is Luken and Keeley, drawn by Luken:

Family, by Keeley. The letters are our names, I think!

This is something Luken brought home from school. The children were tasked with writing a note on a notecard. Luken wrote to his classmate, Wesley. It says, "Wesley kum to mi haws." (Come to my house.)
It's the first thing I've seen him write entirely on his own!! <3

Hunting for Treasure

Daddy had a fun idea last weekend - he hid 6 toy coins all around the backyard, and our little "archeologists" used their brushes to unearth them. :)

Hey, I think that's a flower!! :P

FUN!

A Mommy Makeover

The kids turned Mommy into a "princess!" :D

Halloweenies

Phew, catching up around here again! I have a bunch of new photos edited and ready to share, so stay tuned!

On Halloween, Luken wanted to carve a pumpkin. Silly Mommy did not get one from the store in time, but fortunately, we still had the one he brought home from his field trip to the pumpkin patch, so Todd and the kids headed out back and carved it up!!

There was lots of face-making during this process!

Luken drew his vision of how the teeth should look.

Daddy carved away...

The kids showed off the final product!

Daddy got a biiiiiiig hug for his efforts! <3

Later that evening, it was time for Trick-or-Treat!! Both kids were so excited about it this year!!
Beautiful ballerina.

She's a Smartie! :P

Here's Indy!!

We met up with our neighbors and hit the trail!

The loot:

Yum!
Unfortunately (or fortunately, ha!) all the best stuff is gone now!!

The kids had a blast - they wish Halloween was every day! :D
