Keeley had a pretty low-key birthday this year. It had been a tough week of everyone being under the weather at one point or another, and Keeley, herself, didn't feel her greatest on her special day.
Nonetheless, we celebrated her 7th trip around the sun!
Here she was the night before:
In the morning, her choice for breakfast was donuts.
Then she had a blast opening all her gifts.
Luken received his "Happy Big Brother Day" gift - great-grandpa's pocketknife!
Keeley looks frightened, but I promise, no harm has come to her. ;)
It came in handy!
Her own recorder!
A new AG doll, Saige!
She's a artist, like Keeley!
Using Mom's iPad to take some photos to make an e-book!
Later that day, I dropped Luken off with a friend for a Minecraft playdate, and Keeley and I headed to the American Girl store where she got her doll, Avery's ears pierced, and picked out a new pet for her dolls. She posed here with Saige, life-sized. We had a nice, girly time together!
Later that night, we had a simple dinner at a Mexican restaurant, and then went home. In the wee hours, Keeley had an attack of croup, so we then understood why she hadn't been feeling well!
Once everyone was well again, and we had a free weekend day, we took her ice skating, as that was the activity she had picked to celebrate her birthday. (She had decided not to have a party with friends this year, but do a family activity instead.) We had so much fun!
Can't believe this girl is getting SO big!
