In March, Todd had a conference to attend for work in Austin, so we tagged along!
Unfortunately, all the things I thought would be fun to do with the kids were closed on Monday, but the hotel did have a pool! We had it all to ourselves. :)
We were, however, unprepared, so we had to hunt down some suits at an Old Navy, and grabbed some picnic fixings at a nearby Whole Foods.
Ready to race!
I think she was dipping the strawberry in barbecue sauce. Um, OK..
Later, they found a great spot to play video games. :P
Our first Austin bat encounter! We were a little late, though. Still fun!
On our way home, we got stuck behind a home. We couldn't believe someone had the nerve to move something this enormous! It was a bit scary at times - the driver wasn't letting any moss grow on his tires, and sometimes shingles were blowing off the roof! We were quite relieved when we finally got past it.
We planned a fun stop at Dinosaur Valley State Park on the way home.
Hunting for footprints.
There's one!
And another!
Look at this cutie!
