Mr. Mustache

The kids started off summer with a visit to their dentist. Both did fantastically, and have excellent teeth!! :)

At the end of each appointment, your child receives a coin that they can put into those toy machines that are sort of like gumball machines.
I convinced Luken to spend his on the fake mustache one!! :D

Alex

The kids found a caterpillar munching on my basil! He was so cute and furry. But I didn't like him eating all my basil. I actually grew this plant from seed this year, so I am particularly attached to it. :)

We took photos and petted him for a while.




Then we decided to rehome him to a jar. :D The kids named him Alex.












I let him finish off the leaves he had already started, and he devoured them. Then, I tried to switch him to regular lettuce, but he wasn't interested. :( I tried a little more basil, but his will was gone. Poor little Alex is no more. But the kids enjoyed him for a while...

Summer is here!!!

To kick off summer after school, we headed to Sonic with some friends for a cold treat!!



I might as well have skipped the Watermelon Cream Slush for Luken, as he was much more enamored with the peppermints that come with every order!! :P

After swimming, we went home to clean up, and then Luken headed over to a buddy's house for a sleepover!!

Now it is officially summer around here. :D
