Alex

The kids found a caterpillar munching on my basil! He was so cute and furry. But I didn't like him eating all my basil. I actually grew this plant from seed this year, so I am particularly attached to it. :)

We took photos and petted him for a while.




Then we decided to rehome him to a jar. :D The kids named him Alex.












I let him finish off the leaves he had already started, and he devoured them. Then, I tried to switch him to regular lettuce, but he wasn't interested. :( I tried a little more basil, but his will was gone. Poor little Alex is no more. But the kids enjoyed him for a while...
