The kids recently had the idea to concoct some "potions," so I turned them loose in the kitchen with a few ingredients of their choice. They kept track of what they used, what the "potion" could do, and whether or not they liked them.
Luken heated up some water in the microwave.
Keeley decided to start with some sour gummy worms.
Watching the progress.
It gets kind of swirly!
Happy girl!
I don't know what was going on here, but I love their expressions!
Happy dude!
Recording their observations.
Another photo where I have no idea what's happening, but I love it!
Thinking, thinking...
Keeley decided to try a strawberry. She hasn't eaten one in years. She LOVED it! This whole project was worth the mess just for that!
Trying something, and not really liking it.
Later, I put Keeley to work preparing green beans for dinner. :) (She does actually eat those!)
And, after a shower, she helped make some little coffee cup cakes!
We had a fun Sunday afternoon!
