The next morning, the kids did some exploring around the property. This house is situated on some acreage, and overlooks a beautiful reservoir! There are dogs and chickens and a bunny, and the neighbors have ponies!
First, breakfast of champions.... only at Grandma's!! :P
What a view, huh?? :D
Todd, demonstrating his bullwhipping skills!
Learning to walk over a cattle guard. Yes, there are many, many cows around!
Keeley found a bug friend!
Checking the chicken house for eggs!
More bugs.
More egg-checking.
Woohoo!!
Nap time. ;)
Saying hello to the ponies.
The bunny wasn't particularly friendly that day.
Then Carol took us to her school and gave us the tour! We started in the science room, and the kids made a new friend.
When we got back, we all cleaned up and got pretty, as we had a photographer come out to the house to do family photos. Todd's sister and her family came up, as well. After photos, we got comfy again, and had some food. Carol had cooked and cooked and cooked in advance, and Don grilled up some chicken.
After eating, it was time to make a fire for roasting marshmallows!
Cool tree.
Beautiful girl.
Amazing view.
Hammock fun!
More fire.
Cousin Chris.
Since we were all together, we celebrated cousin Kirsten's birthday!
Luken enjoyed the binoculars.
S'mores!
It was a beautiful and fun night!
