Keeley's birthday celebration!!!!

Keeley's birthday is on May 9, and this year, that fell on a Monday. So, we decided to do the bulk of our family celebration on Sunday, the 8th. That also happened to be Mother's Day, so we started the day out at a lovely brunch, and then came home to celebrate our girl!!

We were able to have a video call with (Grandma and Grandpa) Don and Carol while Keeley opened her gifts from them, so I didn't shoot any photos of that, but here are Luken and Keeley playing in the box of packing peanuts!

Luken was pretty sad about it not being HIS day. Poor dude. He was getting a little testy. However, we have made it a tradition to give a "Happy Big Brother" day gift to him on Keeley's birthday (and vice versa). I hadn't wrapped his, so I thought I'd be funny and ask him to help me get something out that was stuck in my rainboot. :P

It was a Rock Band Green Day game for the Wii. The kid LOVES Green Day!

Then, I asked for his help in revealing Keeley's big gift from us, as it was too large to be wrapped.

We took the kids out for a spin!

We are attempting to teach Keeley to ride without training wheels right out of the gate. She's going straight from tricycle to this bike, so here's hoping!!

It was hot, and the kids got grumpy, so we headed back home.

A little later, the kids and I baked a cake, and then they decorated it.

Keeley chose her favorite restaurant for dinner, and then we came home to sing "Happy Birthday" and dig into that cake!!
