At Luken's school, the Kindergarten classes and their families were invited to an evening of gingerbread house making! Each class contributed a component to the supplies, and then each child brought his or her own tub of frosting. Requested attire: PJ's!
The kids and I headed over after an early dinner, and found one of Luken's best friends, Mason, and we sat down and got started! The boys decided to work together, and Keeley got to work alone on her very own!
We had a little trouble building Keeley's, as her packet of graham crackers (instead of gingerbread, and it is a generally fabulous idea) was half broken. No big deal - she worked away happily!
The boys had a lot of fun feeding each other frosting. :P
Luken's teacher came over for a visit! :)
Did I mention it was the whole Kindergarten class? There are 150 of them. Here's a partial view of the cafeteria. It was PACKED!
I think these photos are totally out of order. :( Photobucket does weird things when uploading sometimes. It drives me nuts. Oh, well.
Here is the boys' masterpiece!!
This was a really fun event! I think we will try to make some of these at home - it is much easier than those kits you can buy!
