On Sunday, we attended the joint birthday party of two sisters who have been our close friends since Luken was just weeks old! They had a farm theme, and had a petting zoo on site at their beautiful home!
Luken was in love with this white chicken!
Here is a mama Guinea Pig with her baby!
The birthday girls!
Keeley joined in on the fun, but was eventually distracted by sand in her sandal.
She had some giggles with Daddy when he helped her put them back on.
Cake time!
Mmmmmm....
We were very excited to see our friend, Avin, there, too! Luken is very attached to her - they've known each other since they were babies, and also attended MDO together for two years. We are at different schools this year, so the kids miss each other!
We've decided the arranged marriage is still on, though! ;)
The girls opening their present from L&K
And a sweet 'thank you' hug!
What a fun party that was! :D

Heart Day on the Square
Our second year attending the Heart Day on the Square event, raising money on behalf of congenital heart defect research.
You may remember my blog post about this last year!
We enjoyed many of the same activities, and it is fun to see the difference in the kids from last year to this year!
Shortly after we arrived, we witnessed the balloon release. These pictures do not accurately depict how neat it was in person, but I tried nonetheless...
Our good friend Vivien was ready for her turn on the Euro Bouncer!
Did you know Vivien is a big sister now??!! :) This is sweet Silas, who was born on July 29th, with a perfectly healthy heart!! Isn't he just so adorable?
While we waited for our turn to bounce, Keeley got thirsty, so Daddy went to find her a lemonade. The cup was huge!
Finally.... Luken's turn!
Keeley, patiently waiting...
We weren't sure if Keeley would be interested in jumping, but she really wanted a turn, and did GREAT!
Next up, some sliding! Keeley would only go down on her tummy, and Luken joined in with her!
We caught up with Vivien again, but she was being camera-shy!
The kids got some cute little stuffed plush heart toys, and Keeley was having hers do a dance!
Here we spotted the photos of survivors! There's Vivien!
Next, we waited in another line for some face painting, and got to play a bit with some other friends.
This is Mabel, who was in her Mommy's tummy at last year's event! Isn't she beautiful?
And here is Mabel's gorgeous big sister, Alice!
Readying herself for some face painting:
Checking out her new look!
Todd and the kids!
Somebody brilliantly started blowing bubbles for the kids while we waited in line, and this occupied them for a while, yay!
Finally, our turn!
Luken, getting another snake!
And a pink flower for Ms. Keeley!
As we went to say our goodbyes, we spotted Vivien dancing with her grandmother, so I snapped a quick pic!
It was another successful and fun event, and we had to bribe the kids with ice cream to get them to leave! :D
