YUM!
I wanted S'mores recently, so I bought the ingredients, and suggested we use the creme brulee torch to toast the marshmallows. Worked like a charm!! :)

Sk8r Boi!
While Don and Carol were in town, I took the opportunity to take Luken ice skating, since I had someone on hand to watch Keeley AND take photos for me! :D It was Luken's first time on the ice.

Out on the ice, he just kind of scraped along at first, so I took his hand and helped him learn to glide along. This resulted in me basically dragging him around the rink, but it worked!

Little Ms. Keeley watched from the sidelines...

I love how she looks kind of hrmph here!

Back to us...

Whoops!!

Come to me!

Oh, no... not again!!

Keeley apparently took very good care of my purse! :D

One more time around the rink!

And.... exhaustion!

After a cookie break, Keeley was treated to some new shoes, and here is our little shopper with her giant Nordstrom bag! Note said new sparkly red shoes on her feet! <3

Thanks so much to Don and Carol for being photographer for the day! I really appreciate it!
They took some video, as well, but I can't find the cord that connects the camera to the computer at the moment, so hopefully I will be able to share that at a later date. :)
Luken did enjoy the skating, so I signed him up for some introductory lessons - photos to come, I'm sure! :)

Some neighborhood fun!
The other weekend, our HOA sponsored an outdoor event. It was originally supposed to be on Saturday, the same day as the averted lake trip/Lego substitution, but it was postponed for one day, and what a beautiful day it was!
There were bounce houses and giant slides, as well as rock climbing, airbrush tattoos, sno-cones, and cotton candy.
Here is Luken, going up the giant slide.

And sliding down!

Keeley, attempting an obstacle course.

She ended up panicking, and had to be rescued!
Next, we stood in line for the airbrush tattoos.
I couldn't resist this photo. (giggle, snicker!!)

A ssssssssuper cool sssssssssnake!!

Keeley had picked out a beautiful butterfly, but chickened out at the moment of truth.
Grandma played with her while we were in the next line.

At last, at the front of the line!

There was a cotton candy machine, as well, but it decided to overheat when it was our turn!! :(
We found a spot on a bench to enjoy the cold treat!

Alllllll done!

Then we goofed around a bit.

And, as this event was held next to a park, there were swings involved.
