In my quest to improve my photography, I've joined a world-wide message board all about photography. Occasionally, members who live in the same region will meet up for friendship and photos, so I was very brave and joined in on one in my area. (To be fair, though, I already knew one of the women and her 2 sons from my local Mommy message board, so it wasn't too terribly scary.)
We met at Fair Park and basically just followed all of our children around. (It was just moms, and it was on a weekday, so we had a nice, casual vibe going on!)
I took a BUNCH of photos, of course, so I will just share a few of my favorites:
Boys enthralled by bugs.
Keeley, helped by the counterweight of some of my equipment stashed underneath, found her stroller to be a wonderful gymnastics contraption!
Wheeeee!
My favorite of the day, though I wish she hadn't been framed by the stroller.
A little girl and her puppy!
Keeley decided to walk through the flowers to get back to Mommy.
Stopping to try and pick one!
Such sweet siblings!
Playing on a giant elephant statue!
And my personal favorite photo of the day was taken by my new friend Rhonda (<-- click for link to her website.) She captured these two just perfectly, and I just LOVE it!! :D
She also put Keeley on the front page of her website and and in a few of her galleries! How cool is THAT??!!
So, it was a great meet-up and I'm so excited to have met some new friends!

Carnival Cuties
Over the weekend there was a small carnival set up nearby, so we ventured over with our neighbors. Well, first we spent about 100 hours at Chili's, but according to them, the wait was only "15-20 minutes." Ha! More like an hour, argh! And then the service was slow. Serves us right for attempting such a thing with a party of 8 on a Friday night!
Anyway, here comes the fun.
Jacob and Luken on the carousel.
And on the teacups!
Poor, sad, tiny Keeley, who was too small to ride most of the rides. :(
The boys, whizzing by!
Ah, Keeley can ride the carousel with Daddy!
Ethan wasn't so thrilled about the carousel, so Kelli held him for most of the ride!
On to some motorcycles... COOL!
Then some dessert - ring pops!
Time to head home...
Keeley and her "bee bop!" :P

More octopus fun!
We found this fun product that will turn a hotdog into an octopus, so we HAD to order it! It's called the Octodog: http://www.octodog.net
Keeley even ATE some, woohoo!
Yes, it's true.... we are officially octopus obsessed here now! LOL!

Woo hoo! Bluebonnets!
It isn't a bumper crop this year, much to my dismay. We even drove WAAAAAY out of our way to get these pictures, as our normal patch is less than pitiful this year...
But, alas, we gave it a go, and here's what we got! Brace yourselves, and prepare your scroll wheel - there are a LOT! :D
Luken had fallen asleep in the car on the way up, so first we started with some solo-Keeley photos. She refused to sit on the little stool I had set up. *sigh*
She thought it was great fun to pick off a bit of flower and toss it in the air! With as few flowers as there are this year, we had to put a stop to that ASAP!
Ah, there's Luken! And awwww... they're being sweet!!!
Once she was finally seated on the stool, she managed to fall off, haha!
Upsy-daisy!
More absolute SWEETNESS!!!!!
And they're off!!
I couldn't decide how to crop this one, so here are two versions:
Smiling sweetie!
Of course, Bluebonnets are all about color, but for some reason, I wanted this one in B&W!
Bluebonnets, surrounded by what Luken referred to as "Purplebonnets!" :D
Well, that's it. Hope you enjoyed them!
