Keeley Face

In the last set of backyard photos, I showcased the "Luken Face." Well, Keeley has come up with her own signature look! She's been making it a lot lately, and especially loves it if someone will play along and make the same face back!

Toro, Toro, Ole'!

Todd and Luken have invented a game called Toro, Toro, Ole'!
Todd is the Matador, and "Lovey" is the cape. Luken plays the part of the bull. He does a lap around the house, then charges the cape, as Todd whisks it away!
They have recently added the horns!

Good fun!

More backyard fun, then, sadness...

More lovely weather here this week!! It was a bit overcast this day, but warm with just a slight breeze. I headed out back with the kids, but couldn't put Keeley down because the ground was still very wet from a nice soaking we'd received the day before. (This explains the severe lack of pictures of her this time, though she shows up in more than her fair share of shots in general, so I don't think anyone will complain, ha ha!)


Luken thought he saw some worms here, but it was really just something the tree had shed. He's obsessed with worms, though - almost anything fits the definition these days!

I don't remember what he was saying here, but I'm pretty sure he really meant it!

Another fun find - an acorn-type pod thing, probably also from the tree. Luken had learned about eggs at school earlier in the day, so it became an "egg!"

But I had to capture this... this is classic "Luken face" as we call it. When Keeley was born, and started crying immediately, her mouth looked just like this, and I think the first thing I said after "Is she really a girl?" was "She's got Luken's mouth!!"

Still a little sad...

But hey, I can blow bubbles!

St. Patrick's Day - a.k.a. More Photo Opportunities

On Saturday the 17th, we were fortunate enough to attend a neighbor's annual St. Patrick's Day party. It was a feast, and everyone looked quite festive in their green!

I used it as an opportunity to test out some new camera gadgets I received for my birthday.

Big night out for Mommy and Daddy!

Todd's parents decided to drive here for a visit over my birthday weekend in mid-March! Yes, we know they were really here to see the kids, but Todd and I got to go out to dinner all by ourselves, woo hoo!

Since we were all dressed up, I recruited Don to take a few pictures of us in the backyard. Here's one that turned out decently!

Dinner was lovely, by the way! We went all out - cocktails, appetizers, dinner, wine, dessert (famous carrot cake, yum!) and coffee. I felt awfully grown-up, ha ha!
