Keeley's First Day of Preschool - 4's Style!

Ms. Keeley has just started her last year in preschool! (*sniff, sniff!*)

Before school, I had a little photo session with her in her brand new outfit that we picked out together a couple of weeks ago.
She cooperated marvelously, and I am so in love with this batch!!!!! <3


















This was so much fun, and she was just a natural!

Here she is at school with her bestest friend, Hailey! They are in the same class!


Here is Keeley putting her name up on the chart outside the classroom, as each student does each school day.


Once settled inside the classroom, she got started on an activity!




After school, Nina (Hailey's mom) and I took the girls to the mall for a treat!

We started at the carousel! (I used my camera phone for these next 4 photos.)


Then we had some ice cream and watched the ice skaters on the rink below!


After that, we headed to the play area, and here are the girls monkeying down the mall on the way! <3



They are soooo darn cute!
We had a great day!

Keeley LOVED school, and is excited to go back!

Fall Ball!

It's not even REMOTELY fall here yet, but baseball season is on nonetheless!

This season, Luken is on the Astros - his Reds team disbanded, and the continuing players were picked up by another team. So, we've got new colors, and new friends!!

The first game was a preseason tournament game on Monday, August 30. It was nice and HOT. :D (There was a bit of a merciful breeze that evening, and the game was at 7:15, so as the sun went down, the heat abated a bit.)

Then, he's up to bat!
They aren't messing around at this age - it's still coach-pitch, but no more tee, so 3 strikes, and you're OUT!





He got a hit! Run, Luken, RUN!!!





Unfortunately, it wasn't quite enough, and he was thrown out a first.
Nonetheless, a hit is a hit, and we're soooo proud!!

Next inning, our boy was playing catcher!! He was so cute in all those pads, and he clunked around like a Storm Trooper! ;P

So, we were, ummmmmm..... crushed by the other team, who has obviously been training very hard and has mad skills.
